HELP JERRY GET HOME! ! !

PLEASE HELP! !  !

My name is Anthony Bowden.  I am writing this letter in hope that it will help me gain support or assistance for a friend.  His name is Jerry Towsend and this is his story.

Jerry is orginally from St. Petersburgh, Florida.   He relocated from there to Dayton, Ohio in hopes of finding employment and improving his financial position.  However, due to a lack of job openings and probably the economy, his search was unsuccessful.  After some time his funds ran down and he was forced to seek shelter in a homeless facility.

The rules or policies of the center dictated that Jerry had to spend his days on the street, usually seeking employment, until later in the evenng when he had to stand in line and hope there was room for him in the shelter that night.  If there was no room he was forced to sleep on the street, under bridges and over passes or anywhere that might provide some kind of shelter from the cold and other weather conditions.  There were a number of nights when Jerry stood in line only to hear, "I'm sorry, we are at full capacity. You will have find shelter else where."

After one such night Jerry was found by a stranger, shivering and unresponsive.  The stranger called an ambulance to take him to the hospital.   However, that same stranger relieved Jerry of all of his money and valuables.  While the paramedics did take him to the hospital, they left  all of his clothes and personal property behind. It was lost forever.

Upon arrival at the emergency room, Jerry soon learned that he had contracted a very severe and serious case of pneumonia.  A day later he slipped into a coma that lasted about forty-five(45) days.  Upon his awakening, Jerry was told by his physicians that they did not expect that he would gain a level of functionality higher than that of a child.

In an attempt to help speed his rehabilitaion along, Jerry was sent to the West Chester Nursning and Rehabilitation Center, near Cincinnati, Ohio which is where I made his aquaintance.  I have witnessed his hard work and dedication.  I am pleased to report that by the grace of GOD, Jerry has definitely surpassed the expectations of the doctors.  He is now performing and communicating at an adult level.

Now, his heartfelt desire is to return home, to St. Petersburgh, Florida where he had some level of normality, a basic support system and employment with his old employer.  All he has to do is get home.  However, since all of his money and valuables were lost, he has no means to make the trip back home.  Jerry and I both trust in the LORD.  In fact, I feel that is what moved me to write this letter.  I hope that someone of you will be moved to assist Jerry in his attempt to get back home.

Jerry and I  would like to thank you for taking the time a putting forth the effort to read this letter.  We feel that GOD will truely bless any and all of your effort to assist in this situation.

THANKS, AGAIN!!!  And have a blessed day!

                                                                     Sincerely,

                                                                Anthony Bowden &

                                                               Jerry Townsend

About TurningPoint

I'm not looking for any handouts. I am willing to pay back or work for any financial assistance. I recently had three surgeries and I need one more. I need a surgery on my back to fuse some disc, and I could be in recovery for a few months. I am still employed but unable to work. My job is refusing to pay disability because of a pre-existing clause, even though it falls within the time-line. Also, my company is demanding I pay for my own health insurance now without any income. I would almost be better off if they fired me, because at least I could collect unemployment. I have no money now and have resorted to trying to open up credit cards at a very high APR. Does anyone know what I can do. Is there state assistance I can apply for? Is there a company that gives loans at a decent APR to someone with fair credit? I am a good graphic artist and can provide a good service for assistance. Please, somebody, I'm not to proud to beg.

Dental problems

Good Day....thank you for taking time in reading this letter.  My name is Ron, 47 years old and from the Philippines.  It's been my life long dream to be able to smile and laugh openly, but because of my disfigured jaw and lacking teeth, i would always turn away from people.

I really cant remember how i acquired this and it's beoming worse as i aged, leaving me nothing but self-diminishment.
Dental surgery is way too costly here in the Philippines and because i dont have the means for such operation, i'm looking for an institution who can help me find that someone with a good heart who can help me bring back my smile.

Ron

Divorced woman in need of financial assistance

I am a divorced woman desperately seeking to become a small homeowner.  At my age a home is an excellent investment.  Am currently looking at HUD homes on the internet.

Unfortunately at this time I am bogged down with a too high car payment.  After paying bills, car payment, gas money, etc....I can barely get by until the next pay check.

If not for car payment, my situation would look much brighter.  Am going to try and refinance my car very soon, and I hope I am blessed with a lower payment.

Any assistance or advice regarding financial situation would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Melinda :)

Recently unemployed, Single mother of 4, going back to school

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Jen.  I am a 27 year old single mother of 4.  (Abigail 5, Zachariah 4, Christopher 3, and Joshua 1) I was fired from my job nearly 2 months ago because I left work in the middle of my shift to pick up my son, who was sick at the time, from school.  I've not been able to find work that is willing to work around my need to get off when one of the kids is sick, or needs to go to the doctor.  I am currently receiving unemployment, but because it is less than half of what I was making while working, I am not able to make ends meet.  I am a hard worker when there's work to be done.  I believe in working hard for what you have.  It allows you to appreciate what you have, even more.

I have enrolled myself in Nursing School.  Classes are set to begin January 16, 2007.  I will not be able to attend school, work, and be a mother to my children, all at the same time (childcare is my drawback).  If there is anyone that is willing to provide financial assistance to my family, during the next 7 months, I would greatly appreciate it.  Upon completion of my Nursing Program in June, I will have received enough training, to work in a profession that pays no less than $16/hr.

My children and I have had a year of ups and downs.  Thirteen months ago we became victims of domestic violence.  I immediately had my husband arrested, and taken to jail.  Finding a steady job since then, has been a real issue for me, since I am only 1 person to my 4 children.  When something happens to one of them, I am the only one available to tend to their needs.  At one point this year, I was working 30 hours a week, just to pay the childcare bill, leaving barely anything, if at all, for the rest of my bills and food.  I have borrowed money here and there, but am at the point that I cannot borrow anymore, because I cannot say when I'll be able to pay it back.

I want to make something of myself, and prove to my kids that regardless of how bad things get, as long as you have faith, and believe in yourself, you can rise above it all, and achieve your dreams and goals.  I want my kids to be able to see me graduate in June.  I want to make them proud.  I want to make myself proud.  I know that I can get through the rough times.  There's a light at the end of the tunnel, and I'm going straight for it.

I believe in "Paying It Forward".  Meaning, when someone helps me out, I "Pay It Forward" by helping out 3 other people.  I hope to be at a point this time next year, where I am able to help out several other families for the holidays.

If there's anyone that can help my family and I in our time of need, we will forever be greatful to your kind and selfless acts of generosity.  From my family to yours, God Bless & Merry Christmas!
